How to choose cables for new energy vehicle charging piles


New energy and green travel have become a new lifestyle. Charging piles are increasingly seen in daily life, so the standard DC (AC) charging cable for electric vehicles has become the "heart" of the charging pile.


Due to the vigorous development and support of the state, Shenhua Electric Group (Anhui) Co., Ltd. has statistics that before 2015, China had 497,000 new energy vehicles in its possession. Adding the 62,663 vehicles sold in the first quarter of 2016, the total number has reached 560,000. The corresponding charging infrastructure situation is as follows: By the end of 2015, more than 3,600 charging and battery swapping stations had been built across the country, and there were 49,000 public charging piles. The standard DC charging pile for electric vehicles is commonly known as "fast charging". During the charging process, the input voltage of the DC charging pile adopts three-phase four-wire AC380V±15%, with a frequency of 50Hz, and the output is adjustable DC power, directly charging the power battery of the electric vehicle. It can meet the requirements of fast charging. Power cables and standard AC charging piles for electric vehicles are commonly known as "slow charging". Ac charging piles only provide power output and have no charging function. They need to be connected to on-board chargers to charge electric vehicles. This is the requirement for a large number of charging pile cables.

This cable has the characteristics of high voltage resistance, high temperature resistance, electromagnetic interference resistance, stable signal transmission, anti-bending over 10,000 times, wear resistance over 50,000 times, oil resistance, water resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and UV resistance during the charging process for the signal control and transmission network system of voltage, current, etc.
